Mr. Petrus is a reliability, instrumentation and control engineering, functional safety professional, Petrus Simon is a registered engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia with extensive experiences in field instrumentation, distributed control systems and safety systems. He is TÜV Rheinland Functional Safety Engineer, with exposure working for global SIS integrators and operators in the upstream and downstream manufacturing industries which includes chemicals and petrochemicals. He is currently the Functional Safety Manager for BASF Petronas Chemicals, responsible to lead and manage the functional safety life cycle activities as a technical authority for one of the largest integrated chemical processing facilities in Asia Pacific with 4 production complexes consist of 20 plants and integrated utility facilities.
