Chen Zhenkang
Mr. Chen Zhenkang is a Functional Safety Expert from TUV Rheinland, the globally-recognized certification body for Functional Safety Products, Functional Safety Applications and Functional Safety Management. He specializes in Safety Instrumented Systems, Safety Lifecycle Management, Functional Safety Management and Functional Safety Assessment according to IEC61511 and IEC61508, with more than 12 years’ experiences in local and global projects.
As TUV Rheinland’s one key Functional Safety Expert for Process Industry in Asia Pacific Region, he is currently stationed in Singapore focusing on SIS Gap Analysis, Functional Safety Auditing, Assessment and Training for Process Plants in Jurong Island of Singapore and other regions (ASEAN, China, Europe, US).
Prior to TUV Rheinland, he worked for Yokogawa and Schneider Electric in developing Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), as lead engineer in charge of safety technical design, safety verification/validation and safety lifecycle management.
He is also a well-recognized trainer and speaker in the field of functional safety with reference to IEC61508 and IEC 61511. His trainees mainly come from the process industry of Asia Pacific region.
With team support in TUV Rheinland Singapore and the guidance of TUV Rheinland Asia Pacific, International and TUV Rheinland Germany, he initialized 1) the first-ever Functional Safety motion graphic video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HtiY10tFptk), 2) the first International Safety Case symposium(http://safetycasesymposium.com/) and 3) the the first International Safety Instrumented System Conference SIScon Online (https://siscon.online/).
